Addison Electrical won the tender for a complete LED refurbishment at The Edge, one of Manchester City Centre’s largest and most prestigious residential developments which sits next to the Lowry Hotel. The works, spread over 5 individual phases, include the replacement of nearly 2000 individual lights and emergency lights with modern, efficient LED lighting. The LED lighting installed comes with extended on-site manufacturer warranties, ensuring that by the end of the 5 phase period the development will be left not only with fantastic LED lighting, but that energy and maintenance savings mean the costs of installation will have been recovered.
As well as the LED refurbishment, Addison Electrical carried out the electrical testing across the entire development. Over 1,200 electrical circuits were individually tested and certified to be fit for continued use, leaving both the management company and residents safe in the knowledge that their building was not at risk of electrical faults.
